Sprinkler System Installation in Flower Mound and Denton County
Full residential systems quoted on site; typical range $3,500 to $7,500
A sprinkler system is a 15 to 20 year investment in the house. Done right, it waters evenly, obeys the local watering schedule on its own, and gives you nothing to think about. Done cheap, it is a decade of dry spots, repairs and water bills.
What a properly designed system includes
- Head-to-head coverage so every spray reaches the next head. This is the single biggest difference between a system that waters evenly and one that leaves stripes.
- Zones grouped by plant type and sun exposure. Turf in full sun, turf in shade, and shrub beds all need different run times and should never share a valve.
- Drip for beds and foundation plantings instead of spray.
- A backflow preventer that meets your city's water utility (Flower Mound Environmental Services, Lewisville Public Works Meter Services, Denton Water Utilities, or the relevant city office) requirements, installed where it can be tested and insulated.
- A smart controller with a rain and freeze sensor, programmed to your city's watering days before the crew leaves.
- Pressure regulation so heads do not mist and waste water on windy days.
- A written as-built drawing showing where every valve and line runs, so future repairs do not mean guessing.
Additions and replacements
New pool, new patio, new fence, new beds. Any change to the yard usually means the old coverage no longer fits. We add zones, move heads, and convert spray to drip without redoing the whole system. When a system is past saving, with brittle pipe and obsolete valves, we will tell you so and quote a replacement that reuses whatever is still good.
Permits
Flower Mound, Denton, Aubrey and most other Denton County cities require a permit for a new irrigation system, pulled by a licensed irrigator registered with the city, with a backflow test report filed before the final inspection. Flower Mound charges $350 for the permit and wants sealed plans and the sensor location up front. The permit is pulled under the irrigator's license, so the license number and the permit number both end up on your paperwork.
